Our dream home, constructed just prior to the pandemic. This stunning property we designed with simple living in mind. Situated 25 minutes equidistant between Wanaka and Cromwell, we considered this to be a rural lifestyle.

Though this home was 184sqm, every inch of the home was accounted for with a basic but effective floor plan incorporating our everyday needs with some luxuries on top.

Inside the house boasted three family size bedrooms and a master suite complete with ensuite and walk-in robe, large family bathroom, laundry, generous office space/media room and an open plan kitchen and living space that spilled out onto the stunning deck that enveloped the entire home.

Outside we opted for two large sheds to accommodate our business plant, with a homely flat built in to one, to add an extra living quarters, ideal for visitors.

The style of the house was inspired by the dramatic landscape that surrounded it. We drew inspiration from the land, rugged rock faces and the stunning natural woodlands of Kanuka.

Natural timber framed triple glazed windows teamed with underfloor heating throughout the foundation meant that this building could withstand the extreme climates we experience here.
